Our Beliefs

We believe God uses camp ministry to change lives for His Glory. Beloved and Beyond is one of a few Christian camps in the country that specializes in ministering to children and young adults with special needs, their families, and those who are called to serve them.  Beloved Camp is a place were people of all abilities will BE Loved and know they are BELOVED! Where volunteers can learn to BE love to others. We welcome campers of all faith traditions.

What We Believe

Within the Christian faith there are certain “fundamental” beliefs Beloved and Beyond holds with strong conviction. Beloved and Beyond believes it is scriptural to disagree on debatable beliefs; however, as with all issues in Christ, Beloved and Beyond views them through the lens of our fundamental beliefs. In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, love.
  • Beloved and Beyond believes the Bible, in its entirety, is inerrant, inspired by God, and is the only authoritative reference for matters of faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105
  • Beloved and Beyond believes in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • Beloved and Beyond believes Jesus Christ, the Son, is fully God and became fully human through His virgin birth. His sinless life, voluntary death, shed blood, and bodily resurrection were necessary and sufficient for the redemption of man and the justification of sinners through faith in Him alone. He will visibly return to earth in glory. John 1:1,14; Matthew 1:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:23–25; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7
  • Beloved and Beyond believes the Holy Spirit is fully God. Through His power and presence, He is the effective agent in the new birth (salvation), and through His indwelling, empowers the believer for godly living and service. John 14:16–17; Titus 3:5–6; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23
  • Beloved and Beyond believes God created man in His image as a moral and rational being. The historic fall of man into sin and his disobedience, individually and corporately, produced divine condemnation. Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12,18–19
  • Beloved and Beyond believes the redeemed will be resurrected to everlasting presence and enjoyment of God, while the unredeemed are resurrected to judgment and everlasting punishment. John 5:28–29; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:12–15; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

Alliance Defending Freedom Doctrinal Distinctives

Based on this confession, we are committed to honoring God by obeying the two Greatest Commandments—loving God and loving neighbor (Matthew 22:37–39).

  • We believe in the spiritual unity and equality of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:3–6
  • We believe that the Lordship of Christ requires us as disciples to seek to conform our actions, thoughts, and desires in obedience to Him. Romans 12:1–2; John 14:15; 2 Corinthians 10:5
  • We believe God creates each person with an immutable biological sex—male or female—that reflects the image and likeness of God. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13–14; Matthew 19:4
  • We believe God designed marriage as a unique conjugal relationship joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, lifelong union, and God intends sexual intimacy to only occur within that relationship. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5–6; Hebrews 13:4
  • We believe God endows all human life with inherent dignity, and it must be respected and protected from conception to natural death. Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Job 33:4
  • We believe that God has endowed all humans with the natural, inalienable right of religious freedom to believe, pursue truth, and live within ordered liberty such that no civil government may justly infringe upon it. Acts 5:29; Galatians 5:1; Romans 14:5
  • We believe that God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, calls all of us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him, and that in exchange, He promises us abundant life. Luke 9:23; John 10:10; Matthew 16:24–25
