Our Mission
Beloved and Beyond exists to spread the hope and love of Jesus Christ with people who have differing abilities through camps, socialization and on the job training while growing the community to embrace the same.
Behind the logo: The moon only gets light from the sun. “Be the moon and reflect the SON” to everyone around us. God calls us His beloved. Our hope and prayer is that this will be a place where we all can BE Loved and learn to be BE Love for others.
We are currently in the development phase but the Lord has made it clear that we are to continue leading and serving in the area of our calling. We love camp ministry. We have witnessed God change lives and believe that we have been equipped to humbly lead with excellence in all aspects of the Special Needs camping ministry. We believe that every person on earth desires to experience love and acceptance. We believe that all people can understand the truth and grace of the gospel. We know first hand the value of respite and the joy that camp offers and feel called to continue providing both and MORE!
Remember God’s Faithfulness – Camp Blessing began in 2006 under the incredible leadership and vision of the founders, Chuck and Jodi Ferguson. It was a privilege to be a part of the very first summer where 17 special campers, 30 volunteers and staff were experienced unconditional love. Following that summer we served on the board until 2010 when Glen was elected as the first Executive Director. The ministry grew tremendously as we rented camps all over Texas for the next 7 years. After much prayer and labor over 12 years God provided a home facility in Brenham. In 2017,18 and 19 we were able to lead the ministry program and see it grow to 740 special campers, 1,200 volunteers (SOTK’s: servant of the king) and 130 Summer staff. The Lord has been so faithful in this journey as we have raised 2 special campers of our own and have had the honor of serving alongside our 3 other children in many volunteer, staff, and leadership roles. We have faithfully led, encouraged and served alongside the most amazing campers and their families, the most servant hearted staff and leadership teams, and celebrated our faithful 6 day missionary SOTK volunteers. Thank you all for saying yes. We know each of you have played an integral part of camp. Trust has been a huge part of this process on so many levels. Thank you for trusting Jesus.
Our team is hopeful and praying expectantly to be able to offer each of you the excellent camp experience you have all grown to know and love, as early as summer 2021. Several locations and dates will be announced soon. Please pray expectantly for provision, wisdom, resources, and connections.
Another dream in the works includes a residential/retail internship that could be run by our very own Adult Campers who desire to serve others. We are actively seeking funds to purchase a unique building in Brenham.
Please continue to pray for us. We have been extremely hurt, saddened, and shocked by the termination of our relationship with CBTX- it is such a tender place of grief that the isolation of the pandemic has only heightened. Pray for wisdom and healing for us all. We will continue to celebrate His faithfulness for the past 14 years.
We have seen God’s faithfulness and blessing through serving Him and are hopeful He will do more than we could ask or imagine as we seek to glorify Him and celebrate all the life change that happens at camp. We know HE will continue to BE Faithful! “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. Brothers and sisters, pray for us…” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-25)
